Role Model

Today, I'm thinking about my mom.

Thanks for teaching me that:

My gender doesn't dictate my potential.
Marriage is an equal partnership, with neither party's opinions above the other's.
I can lead both men and women, not only in my community and my workplace, but also in my church.
World travel is a necessity.
Laughter and chocolate make everything better.
I probably don't have Elephantiasis, a flesh-eating bacteria, or ringworm - no matter what my symptoms are.
Personal change doesn't happen without serious counseling.
Family is everything.

I love you, mom. And, I'm proud of you.
